The IT ERP Applications Support role is to maintain repository of local and global software applications for Linde Engineering North America through best practices. The IT Applications Support role is also responsible for planning and coordinating the processes required for the provision of user applications and systems necessary for business operations. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the user group on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.


The IT ERP Applications Support shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Administration and support (planning, architecting, implementing, optimizing, tuning, troubleshooting, etc.) of the Corporate ERP system and related applications, including end-user support.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving systems access problems for end-users, as it relates to ERP systems.
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and resolving computer-related peripheral equipment issues, as it relates to ERP systems and related applications.
  • Monitor local deployment of ERP applications including updates, local interfaces and performance.
  • Capture ideas from local users and clarify with involved process owners and SAP developers at LE HQ.
  • Ensure that ERP related applications meet business requirements and systems goals.
  • Review and analyze existing ERP related applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices.
  • Design, develop, and install ERP application enhancements and upgrades.
  • Liaise with company’s software suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies.
  • Serve as liaison for ERP systems and related applications between LE IT RNA Teams for regional requests as well as LEHQ ERP Teams for escalations and systems improvements.
  • Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users, hold clinics as necessary, and other user-related activities.
  • Participate in periodic after hours IT support, projects & systems maintenance.
  • Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions.


  • BS/BA in IT related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum eight years of experience with enterprise business systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer technology in a business environment.
  • Database administration experience
  • Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office Software, IBM/Lotus Notes, and other Company and discipline specific software applications.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions.
  • Good project management skill's.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer-service orientation
  • Ability to conduct research into application issues and products.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
