Responsible for all Quality Control Inspections at the fabrication shop. 


  • Conduct in process and final inspection of product dimensions, welding, and protective coatings.
  • Conduct shipping, and receiving inspections.
  • Perform RT Film Interpretation, UT Thickness, Magnetic Particle, and Dye Penetrant testing.
  • Schedule Radiography, and ensure the correct percentage of examinations are being performed.
  • Witness and document Hydro and Pneumatic testing.
  • Participation in Lean Kaizen events.
  • Ensure that calibration of test equipment, and calibration records are up to date.
  • Track and repot KPI’s on a monthly basis.


  • Level II certification for RT Film Interpretation.
  • Level II certification for Dye Penetrant testing.
  • Level II certification for Magnetic Particle testing.
  • Perform Ultrasonic Thickness Testing.
  • Surface profile and dry film thickness examinations for protective coatings inspection.
  • Knowledge of welding and welding processes.
  • Ability to read different types of drawings.
  • Understand and apply Code Data, Company standards and customer specifications.
  • Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector or ability to pass the examination within 1 year.
  • Proper use of weld inspection gages, tape measure, and protective coatings inspection gages.
  • Ability to cross train and perform inspections in various production departments.
  • Ability to prepare and write Inspection reports.
  • Ability to read and use checklists and Work Instructions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective computer skills – Microsoft Office software, Lotus Notes, Documentum, and other Company and discipline specific software applications.
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and plan work.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
