Overview

Responsible for the overall successful operation of the IT department, including establishing the IT strategy, managing IT resources and providing stable and up to date IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the capabilities and the knowledge within the IT team of LENA
  • Manage the IT project portfolio for LENA
  • Act as main contact for the various user groups and the management of LENA for all IT-related issues and requirements
  • Manage and control the reliable delivery of the IT services at the various LE locations (offices and construction sites) in scope according to their role within LE
  • Control and steer running IT projects and coordinate with LE headquarter as appropriate
  • Optimize the sourcing of IT infrastructure and corresponding IT services, especially by using the opportunities provided by Linde Engineering and Linde Group
  • Establish IT cost controlling for LENA
  • Develop and approve the IT investment plan
  • Report IT cost and investment on a regular basis
  • Develop and periodically update the IT strategy for the business units and locations in scope
  • Align IT goals and activities with the goals of LENA
  • Align with LE's global IT strategy especially with the JOIN initiative
  • Initialize major IT projects according to the strategic objectives (project definition, business case, project organization)
  • Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis as in accordance with Company policy. Consult with Human Resources and your superior
  • Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions

Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years’ experience managing an information technology function in a medium or large size company
  • Possess a broad theoretical and practical understanding of system architecture and customer support philosophy
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office Software, Lotus Notes, and other Company and discipline specific software applications
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
