  • Overview

    Responsible for preparing and updating resource loaded shop schedules and for shop cost control.  The Shop Scheduler / Controller  will work will all EPC Schedulers, Field Schedulers, Cost Controller, Engineers, Expeditors, PE’s, PM’s, Shop Planner, and Shop managers to ensure shop master schedule and cost reports are accurate updated, and optimized. Position is based in Holly Springs, GA.

    Responsibilities

    • Generating and monitoring the master shop schedule.  Integrating all shop associated activities with the activities in the project EPC schedules.  This person will work closely with Field Schedulers, Cost Controller, Engineers, Expeditors, PE’s, PM’s, Shop Planner, and Shop managers to produce a master schedule the optimizes and prioritizes all shop work.
    • The Shop Master Schedule will be Resource loaded to include all shop working manpower (direct, temporary, contract and outsources.  From this information the Shop Controller will Analyze and report shop progress and shop manpower requirements.
    • Update and evaluate the accuracy of the shop cost forecast by working with the EPC Controllers assessing actual cost incurred and physical progress achieved for all phases of shop work.
    • Assists shop manager in presentations/reports to the customer/company management.
    • Consolidate data in the schedule and in project cost reports for project manager’s review and approval.
    • Work with EPC Controllers to update, on a regular basis, shop cash flow forecasts.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Construction Management preferred or equivalent combination of education or experience.
    • CPM scheduling with cost engineering / accounting experience preferred.
    • AACE Certification is a plus.
    • Intermediate to expert skills with Primavera P6 and MS office software.
    • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks/projects.
    • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals both inside and outside the organization.
    • Ability to work well as an integral part of a large Project Team that includes all Engineering disciplines.
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
