  • Overview

    The After Market Technical Specialist solicits customers; prepares and submits proposals; enters orders and places purchase orders to sub-suppliers. Detailed knowledge of Company’s products and the ability to understand engineering drawings, terminology, and practices is required.

    Responsibilities

    • Processes technical inquiries in response to both basic and complex client part requests on equipment (such as fired heaters, compressors, pump's, heat exchangers, etc..) by researching previous jobs and soliciting quotations from suppliers.
    • Handles project execution actions and overall coordination within the Customer Service Department.
    • Meets with client's maintenance and operations teams in identify parts for replacement.
    • Takes an active role in the development of the business/account strategic plans with the sales team
    • Develops strong working relationships with all engineering departments as required to design and customize client solutions
    • Identifies customer needs for additional technical services and escalate to other departments when applicable
    • Creates price lists of recommended spare parts for customers who purchase major equipment or systems; support Project Management
    • Ensures delivery of orders to customers as per the stated contractual terms
    • Maintains accurate and complete information in CRM system
    • Creates and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service
    • Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions.

    Qualifications

    • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience in the petrochemicals, refining, or gas processing industry required
    • Experience in fired heaters or combustion related equipment preferred

    • 3 years experience in related work preferred (sales, estimating, project management, procurement

    • Must be able to read drawings and possess mechanical aptitude
    • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
    • Highly proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Products, ERP)
    • Effective time management skills
    • Ability to work ell with both customers and supplies, in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment
    • Capability to multi-task, work independently and also work within a team environment
    • Demonstrated competency to develop competitive value-added solutions through creativity and innovation.
    • Experience supporting customers through a variety of contact channels including email and phone
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow up skills
    • Excellent decision making, conflict resolution and creative thinking skills.
