  • Overview

    Support all programs and activities related to internal and external communication strategies and objectives.


    The Communication Representative shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

    • Serve as the liaison between communications and functional organizations within the business.
    • Coordinate communications efforts to promote programs, events, services and staff.
    • Understand audiences and identify the best ways to reach them pulling from all forms of media.
    • Develop compelling story angles for external and internal consumption and engage employees while increasing their understanding of and role in achieving business objectives.
    • Establish and maintain procedures and processes to ensure that communication activities are carried out in a consistent and efficient manner in accordance with company commitments and corporate standards.
    • Drive internal brand recognition and reputation management through multiple communication tools. Work to ensure the tone and manner of all communication materials are consistent with and reinforce the Company’s culture and brand.
    • Maintain close relationships with internal functional business teams to determine appropriate planning and tactical decision making.
    • Plan and prepare written and visual communications and disseminate information using print media, speeches, scripts, digital, intranet and internet sites.
    • Evaluate internal/external communication issues and make recommendations to management and project leaders on communication projects. Assess opportunities and alternative options to ensure the communication plans support the business unit and/or department strategic initiatives and objectives.
    • Plan, prepare and disseminate information concerning the company and/or business unit.  Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of communication materials and programs and provide recommendations to management on new/revised programs.
    • Lead the organization's corporate giving, volunteer programs and associated events.
    • Lead internal event preparations.
    • Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising or related field.
    • Three (3) years of relevant experience.
    • Proactive self-starter with ability to work independently and as a part of a team
    • Strong ability to set priorities, solve problems and be resourceful under pressure
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining both internal and external relationships.
    • Strong aptitude in organizing and presenting complex information in a manner that is appropriate for and useful to the target audience.
    • Proficiency in developing messages and other written communications for multiple stakeholders.
    • Effective project management, planning and problem solving skills.
    • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and ability to learn new programs quickly.
