    The Procurement Center Buyer is the first point of contact for the relevant suppliers and performs all purchasing tasks from issuing inquiries to negotiating and preparing purchase orders, including purchase order closeout with the vendors for the supply market dedicated to the respective Procurement Center.

    • Coordinates and issues all queries for the inquiries for suppliers selected bidders as per project procurement strategy
    • Organizes the commercial and technical bid clarifications and evaluates the quotations of bidders
    • Performs the  bid analyses (total cost evaluation sheet) and issues a recommendation to Project Procurement Manager
    • Performs the final price negotiation in close cooperation with the Project Procurement Manager and the Project Manager
    • Coordinates the purchase order to the selected supplier from preparation, receipt order confirmation, reviewing invoices, releasing payment and closing out the purchase order
    • Administer and continuously maintain database to ensure that all required data are available, correct, and up to date
    • Executes company policies related to supplier qualifications including initial paperwork through supplier evaluations
    • Issues and negotiates claims due to nonconformities with suppliers
    • Documents the outcome of the bidding process, e.g. successful bidder, reasons for non-consideration of others, etc.
    • Review supplier’s final invoices and release for payment


    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required
    • Minimum 4 years of engineering as a buyer for a chemical, petrochemical or gas-production company or for an EPC firm specializing in the petrochemical/ chemical industries 
    • Excellent negotiation skills and knowledge of commercial terms and conditions
    • Advanced MS Excel skills and proficient in MS Word
    • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
    • Up to 10% travel both domestic and International required
