  • Overview

    The After Sales Project Manager Responsible for the execution of one or more simultaneous upgrade, retrofit, and warranty projects. 

    Responsibilities

    • Provided technical leadership and field support in the sales of upgrades, retrofit, and warranty projects
    • Direct or perform all aspects of after sales projects including engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
    • Manage the execution of the project with a focus on maintaining or improving the as-sold profit level for the project.
    • Ensure that the after sales projects are developed and delivered to meet Company’s quality standard and contract requirements.
    • Track project against its schedule and budget
    • Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated occurrences.
    • Prepare periodic management and/or customer reports and presentations.
    • Mentor and coach project teams and assigned project engineers to achieve project goals.
    • Review and verify project estimates monthly.
    • Provide feedback regarding employee performance on a project team to the functional manager
    • Recommend new processes where needed to improve quality, cost, or on-time delivery.
    • Identify project scope changes and prepares job change notices for submittal to clients.
    • Maintain awareness of safety and environmental requirements.
    • Review and approve key project documents and drawings
    • Provide primary line of communication with client with an eye towards developing new opportunities for LPP
    • Tracks costs and reports against budget.
    • Preparation of client invoices.
    • Development of project proposals to ensure the Scope of Work is properly defined and ensures a clear understanding of the project scope of supply.
    • Perform or manage all phases of project planning.

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum 7 years industrial related experience
    • Ability to address challenges while in an operating plant work environment
    • Possess a broad understanding of the major design engineering disciplines:   Piping, Equipment, Process, Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, and Electrical
    • Understanding of continuous flow chemical/physical processes typical of hydrocarbon processing
    • Possesses an understanding of EPC business principles. contract administration and general business law
    • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
