  • Overview

    The Electrical Engineer will be part of a multi-discipline project team and is responsible with regard to all Electrical engineering and design aspects for the project execution. Electrical Engineer shall be responsible for all engineering phases, i.e. proposal, basic, detail, construction and commissioning.

    Responsibilities

     

    The Electrical Engineer shall be responsible for the following main activities but not limited to:

    • Responsible for the design and development of Electrical systems for petrochemical, oil & gas industry.
    • Preparation of technical specifications, for Substation, Power Distribution Building (PDC), LV / MV Switchgears, MCCs, VFDs, Motors, Transformers, Bus ducts, Cable bus, Electrical heat tracing etc.
    • Review & approve Electrical installation drawings, Schematics, Load Lists, one-line Diagrams, Interconnection diagrams, Cable schedules, Bulk Material take off (MTO) in full compliance with recognized industry and safety standards, and various client specifications.
    • Provide technical support, i.e. inquiry, technical bid evaluation and recommendations, Purchase specifications, Vendor drawing review, Inspection etc., to procurement for electrical items.
    • Ensure that all codes & standards, statutory requirements, local best practice design and client specifications are fully implemented during engineering
    • Prepare electrical calculations for Grounding, Cabling, Lighting, Voltage drop as required
    • Prepare various ETAP study & calculations like short circuit, Relay coordination, Overload, Low flow, Power demand, Motor starting etc.
    • Maintain high level of professionalism in all aspects of the work performed by the members of his technical group.
    • Assist in technical development of various documents & costs for proposal activities
    • Provide technical support for inspection and test, construction, commissioning etc.
    • Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions.
