  • Overview

    Responsible for scheduling all activities associated with assigned projects.  This includes producing a coordinated Critical Path Schedule and EVM progress reporting system for entire project.  As well as highlighting any potential problem/problem areas to assist in the effort of generating recovery plans

    Responsibilities

    • Work with Proposal department, Engineering, Procurement, Shop, Construction and Management to generate and monitor all schedule activities associated with assigned projects; update periodically and highlight any potential problems/problem areas.
    • Implement and update EVM progress reporting system for assigned projects.
    • Gather detailed construction schedule and EVM information from Field Scheduler / Controller.  This may require site visits and coordination with construction department to highlight problem areas and recommend work arounds.
    • Assist Shop Scheduler / Controller with weekly shop schedule updates and EVM progress.
    • Assist in generating, processing, and coordinating JCN’s and FCN’s.
    • Assists project manager in presentations/reports to the customer/company management.
    • Assists project manager in developing workarounds, recovery plans, and “what-if” scenarios using the Project Schedule.
    • Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Cod of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s in Engineering or Construction Management preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
    • 10+ years scheduling experience with an engineering/construction company
    • Thorough knowledge of engineering/manufacturing/construction logistics, resource planning and material management.
    • Experience in Petro-Chemical and/or industrial gas industries preferred.
    • Experience with Earned Value Progress Measurement for engineering and construction.
    •  Proficient in Primavera 6.0+ scheduling and Excel spreadsheet software.
    • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.  Self-motivated and willing to gather required information from other project team members or departments in the company.
    • Detail oriented
    • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks/projects
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
