  • Overview

    Responsible for overseeing all client customer service related process support needs are handled in an expedited manner and Hydro-Chem solutions are presented in line with customer expectations and requirements. Position is based in Holly Springs, GA.


    The PLANTSERV™ Process Specialist shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

    • Work with clients to scope process engineering studies (Debottleneck, re-lifes, revamp, relocate, emissions, training) and other service packages.
    • Visit clients to conduct plant performance assessments, consultations, and trainings.
    • Coordinate performance of end of life assessments for equipment.
    • Prepare and assist in proposal development by completing equipment data sheets, writing technical descriptions as necessary, obtaining cost estimates for the various solutions, creating a price structure, and ultimately developing commercial and technical proposals.
    • Execute engineering studies and services projects.
    • Lead special projects to support client needs such as remote operations monitoring, augmented remote support systems, and on line performance evaluation systems in connation with I&C and others.
    • Participate in planning, cost development /management, and scheduling for assigned projects
    • Make technical presentations on our services and revamp capabilities.
    • In cooperation with LENA's Contract Administration department, create and execute appropriate service contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDA’s) with clients, contractors, and consultants. Lead contract review and project award negotiations (including all technical, commercial, and legal aspects).
    • Support defining and aligning standard global requirements for product / plant design, including region-specific code requirements and customer requirements.
    • Assist with review and implementation of Linde Gas Standard Requirements and manage information transfers between within Hydro-Chem, Linde Engineering, and Linde Gas.
    • Manage product knowledge and lessons learned considering the life cycle of the plants after mechanical completion, including oversight of corrective actions arising from lessons learned.
    • Support and advise the project managers and engineering heads in implementation of LGSR and relevant product standards.
    • Support the execution team on resolution of outstanding performance or warranty issues as required to close projects.
    • As a service department, provide feedback to engineering and others for product improvement.
    • Develop lessons learned based on customer feedback into Hydro-Chem’s product portfolio. Support rolling out developments to existing clients as part of customer service.
    • Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions, and decisions.



    • Bachelors in Chemical Engineering
    • 10 years' experience in process plant industry.
    • 2-3 relevant work experience in Sales and/or project management preferred.
    • Ability to effectively use the Unisim simulation program.
    • Ability to develop and nurture strong sustainable client relationships by anticipating client needs and offering appropriate solutions.
    • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
    • Consistently takes initiative and generates new solutions.
    • Ability to consistently meet multiple and often conflicting deadlines.
