  • Overview

    Assist Manager, PLANTSERV™ & Product Management in research of past and present projects in the development of pricing for spare parts, replacement of equipment and fabricated parts for submittal to clients. Assist in purchasing department with purchasing and expediting for current and future projects. Position is based in Holly Springs, GA.


    The PLANTSERV™ Specialist shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

    • Assist Manager, PLANTSERV™ & Product Management with existing clients with inquires for replacement of equipment and parts for their plants and provide pricing for those items. Communicate with clients when specific parts request is made.
    • Follow up on outstanding quotes to check status.
    • Identify vendors prepare and issue Request for Quote (RFQ).
    • Prepare, distribute, and maintain purchase orders. Check progress and shipping status of materials. Issue status reports as required.
    • Issue Invoices to customers, when payment milestones are reached.
    • Ensure suppliers provide required documentation with materials.
    • Assist in develop packing list, commercial invoice, and communicate with shipping department on the terms of shipping equipment and parts.
    • Contact suppliers & update progress.
    • Maintain log of order intake and profit level with schedules, progress, and shipping status of materials and equipment; review results with Lead Expeditor, Shop, Project Management, and Manager, PLANTSERV™ & Product Management.
    • Issue regular expediting status reports as required.
    • Check for outstanding payments and follow up as needed.
    • Bid comparisons are prepared with information and approval of bid tabulations are obtained as per company approved delegation of authority before issue of purchase orders or contracts.
    • Timely order, follow up, and deliver all materials and fabricated items as per requisitions and or bill of materials in drawings and shop production schedules.
    • Plan and coordinate with project managers and shop in advance to avoid or reduce any schedule impact due to the longer bidding process involved in outsourcing of fabrication work.
    • Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions.


    • College degree in BA/BS in Business, Administration or equivalent combination of education and purchasing / expediting experience required.
    • Effective computer skills; SAP, Microsoft Office Software, with excellent skills in Excel, and other Company and discipline specific software applications.
    • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective organization skills including the ability to prioritize and plan work.
    • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
