  • Overview

    The Manager of Project Execution & Field Services, PLANTSERV N.A. is responsible for overseeing the Project Management and Project Engineering Teams for EPC revamps, turnarounds and small capital projects within the Linde technology portfolio assuring that the work is performed safely and in accordance with the contract requirements.    


    • Hires, trains, develops, and appraises staff effectively. Suggest areas for training and take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.  Consult with Human Resources as appropriate.
    • Plans, directs, coordinates, supervises and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal and administrative functions of the project in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
    • Executes EPC projects as a Sr. Project Manager for complex revamps, turnarounds and small capital projects and provide field services such as equipment inspections and recommend process studies repairs, replacements and debottleneck projects specifically to EDC Furnaces and Hydrogen Reformers.
    • Monitors and reports to senior management and other stakeholders on the progress of project activities, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.
    • Identifies potential problems and manages risk, mitigation plans, implements corrective action plans, and coordinates with project personnel to resolve problems.
    • Solicits, analyses and evaluates quotations from various disciplines of sub-contractors and other service suppliers
    • Establishes and maintains a mutually beneficial and professional relationship with clients, partners and suppliers.
    • Ensures that inquiries and purchase orders are processed per company guidelines
    • Oversees construction estimating and assignment of construction contracts.
    • Develops competitive execution strategies with the sales team.
    • Feedback learnings into the PLANTSERV IMS processes and works continuously to further improve the processes
    • Supports Business Development team and act as a Company representative with the client and other organizations during the business development and project execution phases.
    • Supports Sales team in client bid meetings, equipment evaluations and proposals.
    • Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Control and Assurance processes.
    • Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions.


    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
    • Minimum of 10-15 yrs experience as EPC project manager or engineer working on brownfield revamps and turnarounds.
    • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience with furnaces, hydrogen plants, refineries, process, Air Separation Units and gas plants, including 5 years related supervisory experience.
    • Possess a broad understanding of multiple engineering disciplines.
    • Experience with sequencing and scheduling of turnarounds.
    • Effective leadership skills with an ability to manage dispersed team members. Ability to promote change management.

    • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Implementation, coordination and effective use of the company’s Integrated Management System and its tools.
