    Responsible for general ledger accountability, and financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned.  

    Responsibilities

    The Accountant shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

    • Prepare accurate, timely financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
    • Remain current with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
    • Interact and communicate with respective business units in order to facilitate any special reporting requirements.
    • Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts; analyze any discrepancies.
    • Conduct analyses related to general ledger accounts as requested by management.
    • Key support with interim and annual internal/external audits.
    • Identify ways to improve and/or streamline accounting processes.
    • Lead analysis and reporting of corporate lease commitment schedules within company databases.
    • Assist with banking activities such as analysis of ACH payment runs and releasing wire transfers.
    • Compliance with all corporate accounting controls and checks and balances.
    • Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
    • CPA or Masters Accounting highly preferred.
    • Minimum five (5) years' experience in general accounting and/or related activity.
    • Knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS reporting
    • SAP or other Enterprise software knowledge helpful
    • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Expected to display considerable initiative in meeting deadlines.
    • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office software; Word, Excel, Access and database technology.
    • Detail oriented.
    • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company,
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
