    This position is responsible for proposal/contract negotiation, administration and related activities in accordance with corporate strategies and business objectives

    Responsibilities

    The Sr. Contract Manager - Proposals shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

     

    • Assemble and analyze project information considering all possible commercial aspects of the project in accordance with LENA internal procedures (e.g. client's financial background, taxes, duties, projected interest, miscellaneous costs and fees, export regulations, customs regulations, shipping facilities).
    • Review of client inquiry documents.
    • Commercial risk evaluation and application of LENA risk management tools.
    • Review and commenting of contract terms and conditions.
    • Drafting of commercial proposals in accordance with Linde contract essentials
    • Reconciliation of the commercial proposal with the Project Manager/Proposal Manager.
    • Contract negotiations with the client in accordance with LENA corporate contracting and risk management guidelines.
    • After contract award to LENA, prepare contract handover for Project Execution, including:
    • Preparation of Terms & Conditions Summary
    • Commercial Kick-off Meeting
    • Preparation of invoicing schedules
    • Export credit insurance and/or other insurance
    • After contract award to LENA, assist as required, Project Manager and Contract Manager- Project Execution in legal matters, including:
    • Resolution of warranty issues and contract disputes/claims.
    • Assist Purchasing Department as needed, including
    • Review and negotiation of Purchasing terms and conditions
    • Review and negotiation of Service Agreements and other contracts

     

    Qualifications

    • Juris Doctorate or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum five years of experience in contract negotiation and proposal preparation, preferably in the Engineering and Contracting industry.
    • Detail oriented.
    • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks/projects.
    • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
    • Effective negotiation skills
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite, and other Company and discipline specific software applications
