  • Overview

    This position is comprised of both managerial and administrative responsibilities to both internal and external sectors of the company.  The position is authorized with managerial authority and responsibility while reporting to the Director of Fabrication.


    • Plan and organize inspection activities for the Shop.
    • Maintain ASME Quality Control Program.
    • Coordinate all in-house Nondestructive testing and assure these tests are performed in accordance with Linde and Client standards and specifications.
    • Coordinate third party inspections in the Shop.
    • Maintain all project related inspection documentation.
    • Participate in all ASME Code reviews of the ASME Manual.
    • Perform Module P & ID inspections, as required.
    • Maintain calibration program for inspection tools and equipment.
    • Management of the daily activities of the Quality Control Department.
    • Hires, trains, develops, and appraises staff effectively.  Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.  Consults with Human Resources as appropriate.




    • BS/BA and 5 years Quality experience in a Fabrication Shop or Process Plant construction.
    • Or, 2 years of college and 8 years Quality experience in a Fabrication Shop or Process Plant construction.
    • Certified Welding Inspector.
    • Prefer experience with ISO and/ or Six Sigma Programs.
    • Working Knowledge of ASME Code, Sections V, VIII and IX.
    • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
    • Effective computer skills: Microsoft Office Software, Lotus Notes and other Company and discipline specific software applications.
    • Effective analytical and problem- solving skills
