  • Overview

    Responsible for the overall successful operation of the IT department, including establishing the IT strategy, managing IT resources and providing stable IT systems ensuring business continuity and competitive sustainability.

    Responsibilities

    The Manager, Information Technology shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

    • Responsible for the Company IT programs; including Infrastructure and support, ensuring business continuity and competitive sustainability for all regional locations including project job sites.
    • Responsible for the development and implementation of IT strategic direction, annual and mid-term planning aligned with Company strategic direction and goals, as well as, regional and global direction and goals.
    • Responsible for the development and implementation of IT metrics/KPI’s, as well as, associated reporting.
    • Responsible for the development and management of the IT annual operating expense, capital expense planning budget and manpower planning. Tracking, analyzing and managing expenditures effectively.
    • Ensure compliance with Linde Data Security policies and procedures, including SOX requirements.
    • Responsible for the development and implementation of Company IT communication and change management strategies.
    • Responsible for sourcing optimization of IT infrastructure and corresponding IT services, utilizing opportunities provided by Linde Engineering and Linde Group globally; i.e., JOIN.
    • Responsible for IT capital expense coordination and implementation process according to the strategic objectives (project definition, business case, project organization) working with finance through the process.
    • Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively promoting learning and continuous improvement. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis as in accordance with Company policy. Consult with Human Resources and your direct line manager.
    • Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Ten (10) years’ experience managing an information technology function in a medium or large size company
    • Possess an extensive understanding of system architecture and customer/end user support.
    • Effective leadership skills
    • Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office Software,, and other Company and discipline specific software applications
    • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
