Job Descriptions are part of Company Quality Policies and Procedures.  This standard defines the tasks and responsibilities of the Network Engineer.



The Network Engineer, shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Advanced network infrastructure planning and design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for all LENA sites including construction sites.
  • Create and maintain procedures, diagrams, work instruction and etc. related to network. Liaison with LE HQ for network design/implementation.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Perform network utilization and assessments for performance and future planning. Provide a monthly overview report for all LENA locations.
  • Configure and maintain routers/routing, switches and related products.
  • Configure and maintain proxy/web filtering and related products.
  • Assess, design, deploy, and maintain wireless networks.
  • Perform datacenter monitoring and work with infrastructure team to mitigate problems before they occur and resolve those that do.
  • Configure and maintain SAN or similar products.
  • Configure and maintain WAN acceleration related products.
  • Configure and maintain VPN solution or similar products for user remote access.
  • Provide primary support for the LAN/WAN/WLAN and technical guidance to IT Customer Support staff and serve as an escalation point when needed.
  • Participate in periodic after hours IT support, projects & systems maintenance.
  • Support the IT infrastructure at various project construction site offices.
  • Learn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions.


  • BS/BA in IT related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CCIE+Datacenter, CCIE+Voice, CCNP, Checkpoint, Bluecoat,and MCSE certification Preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of advanced administration of network environments.
  • Experience and advance knowledge of Windows environment and server virtualization
  • Experience and advance knowledge of NAS and SAN storage technologies
  • Experience and advance knowledge of Cisco networking environment and related networking components
  • Effective change management skills.
